Arrivals - Guatemala City

Group arrival and welcome at GUA airport. Transfer to Westin Camino Real in Guatemala City for 1 night's accommodation.

Day 2

Thursday, January 21

 

Guatemala City to Lake Atitlan

Breakfast at Westin Camino Real.

Group Excursion

Group transfer to at 8:00 AM to Chichicastenango (2 hrs 45 min).

Chichicastenango, home to one of Guatemala’s most vibrant and colorful traditional markets. Explore stalls filled with handcrafted textiles, pottery, masks, flowers, and local produce while experiencing the rich Maya culture and centuries-old traditions of this highland town.

Lunch at Hotel Santo Tomás.

Group Transfer to Lake Atitlan

Depart Chichicastenango at 3 PM (2 hrs 15 min).

Group check-in at Hotel Atitlán for 2 nights’ accommodations, a charming hacienda-style hotel set on the shores of Lake Atitlán, surrounded by lush botanical gardens and sweeping views of the San Pedro, Tolimán, and Atitlán volcanoes. Day 5

Lake Atitlan to Antigua

Breakfast at Hotel Atitlan.

Group transport to the pre-Columbian Mesoamerican site of Iximche (1 hr 45 min) to visit sacred ruins and witness a spiritual Mayan ceremony. Lunch at Katok of Tecpan.

Group transport to Antigua (1 hr 30 min).

Discover the history and culture of Antigua with visits to the Cathedral, La Merced, and San Francisco—three of the city’s most iconic colonial landmarks. Continue to Finca La Azotea, a working coffee farm and cultural estate, where you will learn about Guatemala’s renowned coffee heritage and the journey from bean to cup.

Enjoy lunch at the finca, surrounded by its beautiful gardens and historic setting.

Day 7

Antigua

Breakfast at Casa Santo Domingo.
