Before My Trip
Yes. A valid U.S. passport is required.
It should be valid for at least 1 day beyond your stay (Costa Rica is lenient, but 6 months validity is still a safe recommendation).
No visa required for U.S. citizens for stays under 90 days.
Typically no pre-arrival forms (rules can change), but travelers must: Have proof of onward/return travel. Provide an address (your hotels)

Money & Payments
Costa Rican Colón (CRC), but USD is widely accepted in tourist areas.

Not necessary for most travelers. ATMs are available if needed.

Yes, but check with your carrier for international plans. Roaming charges can be high without a plan.
Yes, both Parador and Tabacón have strong Wi-Fi.
No. Costa Rica uses same plugs as the U.S. (Type A/B, 110V).
