Before My Trip

Weather conditions in Las Vegas in December will be mild during the day (typically upper 50°s–low 60°s) and chilly in the evenings (upper 30°s–40°s). We recommend packing layers, especially for evenings and time spent outdoors. NFR is also the perfect opportunity to embrace your favorite Western wear!

Here are a few must-have items:

  • government-issued photo ID (required for air travel/check in)
  • toiletries and medications
  • jeans, long pants, and comfortable casual clothing
  • sweaters, long-sleeve shirts, and layers
  • warm jacket or coat for evenings
  • comfortable walking shoes or boots — you'll do more walking than you think!
  • Western attire: cowboy boots, hats, belt buckles, denim, etc. are welcome and encouraged
  • slightly dressier attire for dinners/evening events
  • phone and chargers
  • credit/debit cards for personal expenses
  • sunglasses and lip balm — Las Vegas is very dry
  • small crossbody bag or purse for evenings/events

NFR ATTIRE: Western wear is part of the fun! Jeans, cowboy boots, hats, Western shirts, jackets, and other rodeo-inspired attire are common throughout Las Vegas during NFR week. For your evening at the rodeo, we recommend comfortable Western attire with a warm layer for traveling to and from the venue.

Accommodations

No, the Luxor does not have a general resort-wide dress code. Guests are welcome to dress casually throughout the hotel and casino. Some restaurants, lounges, or nightlife venues may have their own dress requirements, but casual attire is appropriate for most areas of the resort. During NFR week, Western attire—including jeans, cowboy boots, hats, and Western shirts—is especially common throughout Las Vegas.

Yes, WiFi is free for all resort guests.

Mountainland is thrilled to host you and your guest for dinner at Gallagher’s on Wednesday, December 2, 2026. All other meals may be enjoyed at your leisure and will be at your own expense

The Trip

Tipping is included on all group airport transfers and confirmed group activities. For optional tours and personal activities, you are encouraged to include a tip when good service is provided.

  • 2-night stay at the Luxor Resort & Casino for you and a guest
  • welcome dinner at Gallagher's
  • tickets to opening night of NFR 2026 group activities as indicated
  • roundtrip transportation to NFR 2026

As a general rule, we recommend all participants to be cautious while traveling, but don’t forget to also relax and enjoy your time!

Some helpful tips:

  • make photocopies of your trip itinerary, credit cards, passports, and any other important documents (leaving the copies at home with a friend in case you lose this info while traveling)

  • leave valuables at home

  • have enough cash in case of an emergency (cash and credit cards are most secure when locked in your room safe)

  • don’t lose sight of your personal belongings
  • avoid using unofficial or unmarked taxis at night
  • keep a low profile and avoid loud conversations or arguments
  • do not discuss travel plans or other personal matters with strangers
  • avoid scam artists
  • beware of strangers who approach you with 'bargains' or offering to be your guide(s), as well as potential pick pockets
